Gretta’s Morning Cup of Joe

I’ve never been a regular coffee drinker. My taste buds enjoy it, but my body isn’t a fan. Caffeine just makes me feel jittery and anxious. That said, I decided to jump on the (decaf) Bulletproof Coffee craze a while ago, and haven’t looked back! I look forward to my beloved cup of coffee (with lots of butter) each morning!

For my wonderful RESTART® participants who are choosing to avoid sweeteners and store-bought coffee creamers for three weeks, I’ve got a few tasty ideas listed below for you, too!


My base ingredients:

1 cup coffee

2 tablespoons grass-fed butter or ghee

2 tablespoons grass-fed collagen protein

1 tablespoon MCT oil


Random other ingredients I add in to mix it up:

1-3 teaspoons cacao powder

2-3 drops peppermint essential oil (pure, therapeutic grade)

1-2 drops cinnamon essential oil (pure, therapeutic grade)

2 tablespoons coconut milk or coconut cream

1 tablespoon cacao powder with maca root (not RESTART®-compliant)

1-2 teaspoons organic maple syrup (not RESTART®-compliant)
